I've always loved the ocean. It makes me smile.
Sailgirl Design is an outlet for my creativity! The picture above was taken on one of my favorite beaches in the whole world! Rockaway Beach, Oregon.
Being on, under, or next to the sea is where my heart finds itself most at peace.
Over the past 40 years I have been a pediatric nurse, an avid adventurer, sailor, scuba diver, and much more. I love to write and play with colour and light in a variety of forms. Taking photos while I travel is one of my favorite past times.
Children also make me smile. No matter where you may find yourself, if you smile at a child they will almost always smile back. Here are my thoughts in Haiku form:
The smile of a child
reminds us of all things sweet.
Pause, smile back, give thanks.
My goal through Sailgirl Design is to help needy kids in various communities around the world. Please join me and make a difference. A large percentage of any sales proceeds go directly to support my friend Julius in Kenya.
This quote by Mother Teresa says it all:
"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop."
